November Celebrations

Aviation History MonthThe front end of a plane

National Aviation History month is celebrated in November by historians, museums, and other aviation enthusiasts across the country. From the Wright brothers’ historic flight near Kittyhawk, NC to today’s solar powered planes, there’s something grand to learn about. Take a look at Aviation history online or find an aviation history museum near you and make a point to visit it this month.

National Sleep Comfort MonthA man lying in his bed sleeping on a pillow

Paying attention to the quality of your sleep is important any day of the year, but Sleep Comfort Month gives you the push to really prioritize it now. If your sleep suffers, there could be a variety of factors that affect it. You may already be aware of what’s holding it back, but here are a few factors: an inconsistent and unhealthy sleep schedule, a sleep environment not conducive to restfulness (including the wrong pillow, mattress, or sheets you use), high levels of overall personal stress, or an unhealthy diet. If you’ve done all you can and it doesn’t help, consult a doctor!

Upcoming Holidays

Black FridayA woman carrying a shopping bag that says

After your Thanksgiving feast and family fun, it’s time to get serious. Black Friday shopping is no joke! If you’re looking to save a ton of money and get some great deals, Black Friday shopping is the activity for you! Be prepared to fight a few crowds in order to save a lot of dollars! If you’re willing to put in some effort, your shopping trip can really pay off.

Giving TuesdayA coffee cup and a pen next to a napkin that says

Giving Tuesday started as an effort to help bring the focus of the holidays back on what they are really about — giving. This initiative is worldwide and seeks to reinstate the habit of giving in a world that has become so focused on receiving and being concerned only about oneself. The seemingly small act of giving has the power to unify and build lasting relationships all over the world. Use Giving Tuesday as a reason to reach out to other people who have touched your life and to express gratitude for the blessings in your life.
