National World War I Museum and Memorial

Listed as TripAdvisor’s #1 thing to do in Kansas, there’s nothing better to top our list. Visit America’s leading institution that is “dedicated to remembering, interpreting and understanding the Great War and its enduring impact on the global community.”

One person said, “My husband and I visited this museum with my parents a few weeks ago. They have movies that nicely give you an overview of the events leading up to the war and provide a good base if you aren't familiar with the history. They had some interesting artifacts as well. We didn't know what to expect going in but we all enjoyed it thoroughly.”

Kansas City Segway Tour: Country Club Plaza Area

Enjoy a 1.5-hour Segway tour of Kansas City. Of their experience, one person said the following: “This was awesome; the guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. The tour highlighted a lot of great art pieces/sculptures. The garden was absolutely beautiful. I loved how we stopped to take a break, however one stop would have been sufficient.”

Legoland Discovery Center

You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy all that this discovery center has to offer. With enough attractions to keep you occupied for hours, Legoland Discovery Center is a great place to explore.

One person recently said the following: “Our visit in October 2017 was our first time. There was an event in the area as well as road construction which put a twist on finding Legoland Discovery Center. We were pleasantly surprised that parking was free of charge in the parking ramp. The staff was friendly not only at the entrance but throughout the center. The [backstory] and theming of Kingdom Quest was well done and the ride was really fun.”
